Garfield and Friends
While I’m on the topic of my favorite cartoons as a kid, I thought I would cover this little gem. I loved this show, nestled in my CBS saturday morning cartoons between Muppet Babies and Peewee’s Playhouse. It’s wierd, I don’t think I’ve ever truly loved the Garfield Comic strip, dont get me wrong, I hold Jim Davis and everything he does in the highest of regards, but garfield has never been one of my favorites. I guess the big difference between the show and the strip was the barnyard segments with Orson and the gang, and looking back I think they were actually the best part of the show, the “meat and potatoes”, pun intended.?
In conclusion I’ll leave you with this little ditty, sung my Garfield to everyone’s favorite pest, Nermal.
